When: Monday, 3 September; gather at 9:00 am for the 10:00 am -- 11:30 am parade followed by a picnic party at John Ball Park.

Where: Gather at between Mt. Vernon & Fulton (near GVSU's downtown campus) and Pearl & Front (near the Public and Ford Museums)

Democratic Governor Granholm and Democratic Lt. Governor Cherry will be there.

David will be holding regular monthly Community Chats at the Wealthy Street Bakery while he is your Second Ward City Commissioner. These will be informal gatherings and you're welcome to come and order dinner or a coffee or tea or just grab a seat. David will talk briefly about what the issues that have come before the City Commission and take your questions as well as simply engage in some individual conversations with community members.

Normally, these will be held on the first Monday of each month from 7:30 -- 9:00 pm.

However, due to some scheduling issues, the first First Monday Chat will actually be on a second Monday -- 10 March.
