for Michigan State Senate
Political pundit says David LaGrand is a "formidable candidate" who can win in November.
Joe DiSano, a Democratic consultant with Main Street Strategies and expert on Michigan politics, made the comment on The City Pulse Show on 88.9 FM in Lansing:
"There are a couple seats that they can win. They can take away Bill Hardiman’s seat in Grand Rapids.... I don’t think they can do it with State Representative Robert Dean. I do think that LaGrand, the former City Commissioner in Grand Rapids, is a formidable candidate. And I think would take on whoever the Republican is, and there are two active candidates out there. He could pick that seat up for the Democrats."
DiSano makes his remark 55 minutes into the show during a discussion about the 2010 Senate campaigns. You can listen to the show here: http://www.lansingcitypulse.com/lansing/article-3877-january-13-2010-show.html
